Dr. Sanjiban Dey is a board-trained Internal Medicine physician at Today’s Wellness & Primary Care in Stoneham, Massachusetts, dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for adults across a broad range of medical conditions.
With extensive training spanning both the United States and internationally, Dr. Dey completed his Internal Medicine residency at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Virginia, where he gained hands-on experience caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He brings strong expertise in preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment, with an unwavering focus on personalized and compassionate medicine.
At Today’s Wellness & Primary Care, Dr. Dey works closely with his patients to manage a broad spectrum of conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and other chronic illnesses. Dr. Dey earned his medical degree (MBBS) from Dhaka Medical College and Hospital and is ECFMG certified. He has trained at several distinguished institutions, including Massachusetts General Hospital and Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, deepening his expertise in advanced clinical care and the U.S. healthcare landscape.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Dey brings a deep background in public health and community medicine, having led and contributed to initiatives focused on disease prevention, sanitation, and patient education. His training and experience across multiple healthcare systems globally have given him a firsthand understanding of the challenges patients face at both individual and community levels. Dr. Dey is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) and holds an active medical license. He is fluent in English and Bengali, and possesses limited working proficiency in French, allowing him to connect with and meaningfully serve the diverse patient population of the Stoneham area.
Beyond the practice of medicine, Dr. Dey is committed to an active lifestyle, with a passion for boxing, exercise, and regular walks as cornerstones of his personal fitness routine. He is an avid reader with a particular interest in fiction and historical novels. He has a deep fondness for animals and animal welfare, having grown up with dogs and birds; a love of animals that has stayed with him throughout his life and remains close to his heart.
