Nurse Practitioner – Today’s Wellness & Primary Care
Dorah Zalwango, NP, is a dedicated and compassionate board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of diverse experience in nursing and patient care. She brings a wealth of expertise from working in various healthcare settings, including primary care, home health, long-term care, rehabilitation, and assisted living.
Dorah earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Regis College in 2023, building on her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Salem State University. Throughout her career, she has cared for patients across the lifespan, with extensive clinical experience in pediatrics, adult medicine, geriatrics, and community health. She is known for her patient-centered approach, strong clinical skills, and ability to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
In her current role, Dorah focuses on comprehensive health assessments, chronic disease management, preventive care, and patient education. Fluent in English and Luganda, with basic proficiency in Swahili, she is committed to providing culturally sensitive care to diverse patient populations.
Outside of her clinical work, Dorah is an active member of the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and holds certifications in Intravenous Therapy, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care, and Basic Life Support (BLS). Her dedication, empathy, and deep commitment to improving the quality of life for her patients make her a valued part of the Today’s Wellness & Primary Care team.
